LITTLE FALLS, Minn (August 9, 2015) – One great boat, usually deserves another.  And Striper has done just that with the launching of the new 270 Center Console (CC).

Like all new Striper models, the 270 CC takes its shape, lines and contours the brand introduced back in 2012 with the launch of the wildly popular 22-foot series, including an aggressive bow flair, deep freeboard, tall gunnel cap and a broad and assertive stance while at work or rest at the dock.  These design features speak to the call and magic of fishing – where instinct, fate and sheer might lead you each day.  What monsters dwell beneath?  Which and when will they strike?  The Striper 270 CC understands the lure and lore of the water, because it speaks the language we were born to understand: It’s your calling.  And it’s ours too.

As with all Striper models, the 270 CC is built with our one-piece Fibercore™ hand-laid composite stringer system construction providing all onboard a solid boat with added support and reduced vibration.  The 270 hull employs Striper’s V-Trac™ hull design for maximum steering control while minimizing shaking or porpoising.  Our V-Trac hull uses wide for improved handling, stability and control when in search of the perfect fishing spot.

Looking to get to the fishing grounds quickly?  Want to go for a leisurely weekday cruise?  Like all Stripers the owner have their choice of power from Mercury, Yamaha, BRP/Evinrude, Honda or Suzuki engines.

The 270 CC has twin engines, standard, ranging from 300 to 500 horsepower and the largest fuel capacity in its class at 188 gallons.  The Striper 270 provides confidence that you have the horses and range to get to where the fish are located or maybe just take that scenic ride along the coast or possibly just a quick trip in a nice inlet, cove or bay for a fishbox full of fish.  After the fishbox is  full, the baitwell and cooler are empty, unlock and fold down the rear transom wall to ensure the engines are secured and stored fully out of the water.

Below the surface, predators and prey fight for supremacy and survival.  Above, the Striper 270 owner reigns at the top of the food chain.  The center console of the 270 is the heart and soul and provides you with all the controls that allow you to decide where and how you reign at top of this food chain.  From the burly center console you can easily power up and quickly make it to the outer shelf.   Getting there is a pleasure, leaning on the performance inspired twin-person leaning post with drop-down seats.  All your control at the helm is protected from the weather with a standard fiberglass T-Top with rocket launchers, spreader lights and flat spots to add optional outriggers.  A full height glass windshield is there for added protection from the wind when up and running.  At its core, the 270 was designed to run and catch fish, which was not lost on the surface area at the console to provide the owner with space to place today’s latest displays and array of electronics to feed their passion for that which they were born – fish.

While the 270 CC was designed to fish first, the requirements of comfort and versatility were not lost on the designers and engineers.  This is truly evident with the space and size of the boat’s head.  With a full 73” of headroom, the head area with optional porcelain head unit and standard hidden trash can below step and lockable door should not have anyone feeling claustrophobic.  The bow continues with the theme of ample space and storage.  Below forward padded seats are strategic storage spots for gear to amp up fishing or those nice relaxing runs just to get away on the water with friends and family.  Back rests are creatively tucked away acting as a thigh pad when fishing forward amidships or engage them by pulling them inward locking in place to create a perfectly positioned backrest – lean back and look forward admiring the sunrise or sunset.

“The Striper 270 CC is the boat I want,” said Rob Parmentier, President and CEO Larson Boat Group.  VP, Product Development and Engineering Gary Zimmer added, “Now that we have this awesome 270 walk and an incredible 27 center, the only thing left is to add a 27 dual console to this powerful platform to deliver a killer stable of 27-foot fishing machines.”
